Runways and show sets, standing for the run-through
We build runways, seating and show sets for fashion shows and presentations. The set has to read on camera and from the front row, and it has to be ready before the run-through.
What it covers
- Runways and catwalk decks
- Seating risers and benches
- Show walls and backdrops
- Entrance tunnels and reveal walls
- Back-lit walls and light boxes
- Backstage rails and hair and makeup stations
Materials and finishes
- Painted and lacquered decks
- Gloss and matte floor finishes
- Mirror and mirrored acrylic
- Stretch fabric and fabric-wrapped walls
- Steel framing
How the job runs
- 01
Drawings in
Send the set designer's plan, the venue floor plan and the show date. Mood boards are fine at this stage.
- 02
Costed plan
We price the set and the seating separately, so you can see where the money goes.
- 03
Shop drawings and samples
You approve deck and wall finishes from physical samples before anything is built.
- 04
Build
The runway and walls are built in sections that fit the venue's doors and freight elevator.
- 05
Install and strike
We install before the run-through and plan the strike around the venue's out time.
